Description

Know someone that watches too much anime and thinks because they can order in a sushi restaurant they are experts on Japanese culture? Do they talk endlessly about their “waifu” and hope to travel to Japan some day? Then you know a “weeb." A foreigner obsessed with all things Japanese. They deserve special attention and this chopstick rest (which they will sternly inform you is called “hashioki” in Japanese) proudly displays their obsession to the entire table.

Besides the proud “WEEB” label on the chopstick rest, there is a secret message written in hiragana on the bottom.

Note, do not call it “kanji” or they will correct you as it is “hiragana.”

The two character spell out “ba ka,” which means “honored scholar.” Be sure to point this out to everyone at the table. Encourage them to use the term whenever the weeb is near as it is the honorific they deserve. Ask them to introduce themselves to any Japanese speaker they meet with “I am baka." It will demonstrate their vast knowledge of the language and culture.
