Description

A simple aluminum foil dispenser I through together. Wall mounted with two strips of 3M tape (only attach the main body section so you can remove the lid to replace the roll).

Im only using this for foil, doesnt seem to work so well for wax paper or clingfilm unfortunately!

When tearing foil, apply force downwards and not sideways to avoid pulling off the lid.

This design is still a bit rough, I may make some improvements going forward so if you have any constructive feedback please let me know! :)

Thanks! I have two rolls of foil in cardboard boxes, and both boxes are falling apart.... One of my rolls doesn't spin freely in the box, so I've remixed a larger (but not longer) version for fatter rolls of foil. I haven't tried mounting these to a wall, as they live in a drawer.

Why not have an open end with a retaining lip at the bottom instead of a two piece enclosure

The two piece approach was largely motivated by build volume, but thanks for the suggestion! I havent had time to go back and look at this model recently!

this print was fully functional, had great bed adhesion and I loved the way it printed. I had no issues whatsoever

The file printed nicely. The issue was that the 2 parts are quite loose. This results the objects sliding. To be able to get this to work I will need to lock the 2 pieces together without permanently locking them due to the fact that I need to refill it someday. Except from this the model is neat and tears great
