Forget arguing about leaving the seat up or down after use. The default should be having the lid down! Closing the lid before flushing greatly reduces the amount of bacteria and pathogens exposed.

With the holidays coming around, you can't be expected to remind each guest to put the lid down before flushing. Not to mention that it could be awkward. Simply place the sign near the flush button, and hope they catch on quick!
