Description

The Ultimate Nozzle Wiper is a fantastic idea. After replacing it, I no longer have to manually clean the nozzle. However, it has a flaw. I printed it using PETG material, and after half a month of use, it broke.I tried changing the printing surface, but the bottom broke even faster.

In the end, I created this version, which is exceptionally sturdy. I used screws from a discarded notebook, 1.45mm * 4.2mm in size. After screwing them in from the bottom, I couldn't even break it by hand. I believe this can withstand the impact of the nozzle.

 

最后,我制作了这个版本,它异常坚固。我使用淘汰笔记本上的螺丝,1.45*4.2,从底部拧入后,我尝试用手都无法掰断,我相信这个可以承受住喷嘴的撞击。

The length of the screws should ideally be between 4mm and 13mm; if too short, they won't provide any reinforcement. Please note that after screwing in the screws, there should be no protrusions at the bottom.

 

螺丝的长度尽量在4mm-13mm,太短起不到任何加固的作用。请注意,拧上螺丝后,底部不要有任何凸起。

 

 


I also attempted to create another version in case you couldn't find screws. I used a cylindrical pin with a diameter of 1mm and a length of 14mm (a bit shorter is also acceptable). However, the version without screws didn't prove to be as sturdy in my tests.
Perhaps adding some glue could improve its strength.

 

我还尝试做了另外一个版本,以防止你找不到螺丝。使用1mm的圆柱梢,长度13mm(短一些也没关系),但我测试下来没有螺丝的版本坚固。也许加点胶水会好些。

Thank you for the remix. I printed mine also from PETG but with 20°C higher temp for better layer adhesion and it's still working.
