My take on colour swatch chips and storage case.
The swatches are designed for the label maker I have and I also wanted to make them as small as possible without losing details. Here are the basic parameters:
There are 2 sizes for the box. One for 30 swatches, the other for 60. Both are print in place with no screws or pins required. They also shouldn't require supports but you could add them just under the lettering if your printer isn't tuned well for overhangs. Brims will be needed to keep the text in place.
The only hardware that's needed are 8 Magnets, 6mm diameter x 2mm thick. A pause needs to be added to layer 108 (if you are using 0.2mm layer heights) or at 21.6mm.
Photos show case printed with 0.2mm layers height, 3 wall loops, 15% gyroid infill. I have not printed/tested the 60 version, but it's essentially exactly the same as the 30, just with 2 rows of slots. Renders show scale and proportions.
Please do let me know if you run into any issues or have suggestions for improvement. I may do a version with threaded inserts and screws but as of right now, the print in place hinges seem pretty robust (as tested by a couple of 3 year olds).
