Description

Hi folks,

I had this lying around and thought I might as well share it. I water-cooled my PC in the O11 Dynamic XL case. Since the GPU now only requires one slot from the PCIe bracket, my other slots were essentially wasted space. Additionally, I blocked my side inlet (originally for fans), so I needed another way to introduce more fresh air into the system. Consequently, I created an adapter that fits perfectly into the bottom six PCIe slots, allowing for a 120mm fan to be mounted externally.

The setup is fairly simple and straightforward. You only need the aforementioned six PCIe slots, from bottom to top, and four M3 screws. The length of the screws should be at least the thickness of your fan plus 5mm. I used 35mm M3 screws, as that's what I had available.

The shroud features a cutout for cable routing from outside to inside the case. Since cable routing can vary, I've included four versions with different orientations of this cutout. The accompanying image should help clarify their positions.

This solution is quite specific, but I wanted to share it nonetheless. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Have a great day!
