PHONE HOLDER FOR AUDI A4 B9 -A5 from 2016 (PORTER ADAPTABLE)

Even though more and more recent vehicles are equipped with media screens to display all the information required for driver assistance, it is often useful or even necessary to have a smartphone in parallel or connected to the vehicle's information system. The problem is that the configuration is not always designed to position a smartphone stably in the passenger compartment.

This smartphone holder is specifically designed to be positioned in the cupholder slots available on Audi A4 B9 (and A5) models from 2016.

It has a diameter of 75 mm, making it perfectly suited to holding the smartphone without play.

The bracket is designed to hold the smartphone in place in a horizontal position.

The hold is optimal for smartphones fitted with a non-slip shell, but cannot be guaranteed in the case of a "naked" smartphone. In this case, we recommend adding a rubber anti-slip pad in the groove where the smartphone is held and/or under the upper locking catch. (see areas marked with the symbol /!\ in the installation and operating instructions)

Once the lid holder has been removed, the jar can be used as a pocket-cup or cup only if it is printed in PLA or PETG, i.e. safe for food contact. This cup can only hold cold water, not hot drinks. After each refill with water, the jar should be dried thoroughly.

We recommend using PETG filament for better temperature resistance, given its use in passenger compartments, particularly in hot weather.

All tests were carried out with the following parameters under Cura slicer version 5.0.0:

- 20% fill for all parts


- Nozzle: 0.4


- Resolution: 0.2 mm or less

💡 Note on printing the locking latch

If required, print the locking latch (3) symmetrically to the template supplied on the slicer, according to the desired smartphone button position.
