Description

This is a kickstand to fit a Spigen phone case for a Samsung S21FE. I am not sure if there are other models it will fit. I don't believe the kickstand is compatible between all the Spigen cases. I have included a fully parametric Fusion 360 file if you need to modify it for a different model.

It did fit a little tighter than the original, but I'm sure that will vary with printer calibration and a bit of scaling or tweaking is to be expected for such a small part.

I was able to print it with reasonable and usable quality using a 0.4 nozzle and a 0.15 layer height using orange Prusament. It does seem like this might be a good application for a resin printer if you have one. (I can only imagine.. I've never owned one)

I printed it in the orientation shown in the STL. I enabled supports to support the posts on each side of the hinge. Rotating it to print on edge is not recommended as the posts will end up being a lot weaker.

Note: The STL marked “no pin” just has a hole all the way through it where the posts should be. This is in case you'd prefer to insert your own metal pin (maybe cut a piece off a paper clip?). This one should print fine with no supports.

What good is this: Well, I guess the most obvious scenerio is if you lose or break your kickstand somehow. In my case I made it because someone at my work ended up with the same phone case as me, and I wanted something to make mine look unique so that they wouldn't get mixed up. I was thinking about adding my name to it, which I may do in the future, but for now just being orange should help.

Brilliant model! I adjusted the parameters in Fusion 360 to print a perfect replacement kickstand for my Spigen S23 Ultra case. The only missing parameter is the post diameter, so I adjusted that myself.

Thank you for your comment. I have added postdiameter as a parameter to the f3d file. Not sure why I didn't have it that way in the first place.

Awesome. I'll redownload it. I've also noticed that on my original kickstand, the hinge is offset very slightly forward. (Or downward maybe? Toward the hinge side.) I think that is why the replacement has a very slight bowing, because the pin is just a hair too high. If I have to print it again, I'll offset the posts a little in that direction. Maybe 0.3mm.
