Description

This is 3D printable model of the Constitution Refit NCC-1701-A Enterprise from the Star Trek. It is a kit and does not require any glue. The different colored parts are separated for easier printing.

Pieces of the necelles need to be separated into separate model in the slicer ;)

For the assembly, please have a look at the following video.

First off, I'd like to thank the designer for uploading such a detailed and beautiful model. Amazing work. Second, in the interest of helping others avoid frustrations, I did have a few issues. The primary one is that the "MT" logo in a circle on the back of the saucer section wasn't completely attached to the model. Other than that, several parts took a fair amount of sanding or trimming to fit. Several of the small parts had to be re-printed from 3-8% smaller to fit.

The tightness can depend on a not perfect flow rate for your filament. I also had this issue during the creation of the print profile. Its really important to have the perfect flow rate. Run a calibration before if it does not fit. Martin did a really good Job in designinf the ships. And if all is perfect printed, even without glue its stable.

This is the coolest thing I've 3D printed. Some of the accent parts could be fit a little better but that's a minor thing. A simple coat of primer and some Testors metalic paint work great.

Great model...fun to print and put together! Had some minor issues with some of the accent parts being a little tight but was able to scale them down as necessary...otherwise everything fit great! Here it is sitting next to his other model of the Enterprise 1701...also an awesome model.

Love this model. Who's blue/gray filament did you use for the warp nacelles? The blue I used is too bright.
