Description

The adjustable salt dispenser

A. function:

Want your food to get more flavors? Try this adjustable salt dispenser. Usual salt dispenser either can’t control the amount of salt dispensed at one shake, or can only dispense one set amount. This dispenser delivers salt at three different amounts with a flip. Simply set the amount you want by move the handle, and then push the moving block to release the salt on to your food.

Current volume are set to 0.25g, 0.5g and 1g of salt.

B. Parts needed:

1. Super glue

2. 4mm*30mm screw*2(could be longer, there is around 5mm extra in the length)

3. 0.5mm wire diameter*5mm outside diameter* 25mm length spring*2(2 pen spring should also work with a bit of adjustments)

4. 6mm diameter*1.5mm thickness magnate*4

The rest of the parts are 3d printed

C. Print:

1. Designer setting is uploaded. (There are two designer file, one with single color and everything on one plate and one with multicolor showed in the video on three different plate to save material.)

1. The best result is achieved with print in the designed orientation.

2. Please use the textured plate for the print since the cold print plate tends to distort the edges. (If print on the cold print default plate, then make sure the plate temperature is above 55 degree C. And apply enough printing glue.)

3. There is no need for AMS, you can just print different color on different plate.

4. One thing to note is never print the screw parts with support.

D. Assemble:

1. The whole assemble process should take around 15 to 20 minutes include in the support remove process.

2. The full assemble video on YouTube or bilibili for the full a assemble video.(about 4 min long)

3. One thing to note is to adjust the tightness for the screws at the end to ensure the moving part can barely move freely, so the salt will not be dropped in the mechanism.

4. Remember to check the magnate’s directions before glue it on. (The magnates on the slide should all be attracted to the one magnate on the slide frame.)

5. The slide has a direction, when placed in to the slide frame; the correct direction should allow the slide rod sit in the position and move horizontal freely in the slide frame.

6. If the print quality is good, then the bottle should be screwed on the cap in one go.
