Description

UPDATED!! notes at bottom

after printing the standard scraper preloaded on the X1C i quickly realized 2 things.

  1. the preloaded scraper was far too small
  2. although it looks like it would go over the door handle it is, in fact, too small for this as well and does not fit!

so after scouring through a TON of scrapers i sat down and combined the hexagon pattern (honestly it just looks good) with the Bambu lab logo and corrected the size. at first i had thought to just use magnets to attach it to the side of the case until i realized it was aluminum and therefore non-magnetic. so after some quick measurements i cut a hole through the hexagons before realizing 3 more things. the first being that the glass blocked the test scraper from attaching to the machine (oof, i should have realized). secondly that i needed a bigger hole then what the inner part of the handle would be as mounting it means it goes at a diagonal. lastly that if i increased the size of the scraping head i could use it as a bigger door handle! a few more iterations to get tolerances right and we have what you can see, a scraper… with a hole. so yea way way over designed it even tried adding some little feet so the scraper would try and nest itself. obviously that was not necessary as the fit is INCREDABILY snug to begin with so you have the option to keep them or use the version without. the one thing i cant fix is the height of the scraper. if i go much higher it wont go on as the glass blocks installing.

by all means if you would like to edit this (maybe add some finger grooves? or perhaps a custom handle to replace the stock one?) be my guest.

NEW: after a week of use the tabs used to hold the scraper in place no longer hold it so i set out to make it as tight as possible! afte rounding the side by the glass and cutting out a groove on the rounded side this now has less then 1mm of room to slide around and less then 0.2 mm or room to twist on to the door! this is about as tight as it can get without rounding the handle itself. printing with supports WILL make a super miniscule support that is really not needed.

Der Druck des Scrapers verlief problemlos und passt perfekt an die Tür des X1C. Vielen Dank für die coole Idee, dadurch liegt er nirgends rum, benötigt keine Halterung und ist immer griffbereit.

Printed with PETG. Bottom side looks not so good. I like the tool. It doesn’t damage the plate.

@zx7ybrtbmv did the PETG warp while printing? the files provided were meant for PLA. i could try testing some profiles for PETG specifically if there were issues.

Replying to @Your_KamiSama :
The print looks good with PETG. I only mean the honeycombs on the back.

ahhh I see I corrected that issue in the updated one. appoligies that was a mistake that’s actually part of the file due to the bottom not being filled in under the letters properly before.
