Description

This is an accessory add-on for the excellent Tea Light Display by JamesThePrinter available here.

I'm going to give some of these Tea Light Displays as gifts and will include extra scenes and batteries. I can see these displays getting used more if the spare scenes and batteries are readily available, rather than tucked away in a drawer somewhere. So, I designed a holder to add on the back of the tea light display case; it can be glued on, or attached with some transfer tape as I did. I used 3M 200MP adhesive transfer tape. The original profile has a holder with capacity for 5 scenes and 3 batteries.

Edit: Dec 6, 2023 added a second profile for more/thicker scene capacity, and with option to choose brim or no brim.

Works great although I can only fit about 3 scenes. It definitely needs a wide brim to print.

Interesting, I designed it for 5 x .6mm thick scenes. I can fit 5 of those fine. Now I went back and looked at the original designers scenes and I see they are 1mm thick. His scenes have color on the surface with filament change after several layers. The scenes I make have the color embedded within the 3 .2mm high layers for AMS printing. I'll add a profile for 5 x 1mm thick scenes. I printed mine without brim and they were good.

Thank you for your positive review. I found that the original designers scenes were 1mm thick whereas the scenes I made are .6mm thick. So I added a new print profile, with multiple plates, to accommodate either thickness of scene, and also to print with or without a brim. I successfully printed them without a brim, but it is now an available option to print directly.
