Description

A raspberry pi 5 case, paintable logo, vented, access to DSI and PCIe ribbon cables, access to GPIO, fits the official active cooling. Keep your eye out for additional variants including side access. Supports are not necessary however if you plan to use the DSI slots it shouldn't but may make them a little tight depending on your overhang tuning.

EARLY Pi5 RECIPIENTS: Please give feedback as I won't be able to aquire a new pi for at least a couple weeks.

Note: The Raspberry Pi logo is paintable. If you do not want the logo, just dont paint it and it wont appear on your print.

Update 23Oct23: Opened up snap fit to make it less tight. Added more chamfer to screw holes. Added Toolless variant.

Update 24Oct23: Changed snap between USB ports to be a solid flat surface as the snap fit could potentially break there with too much force.

The PLA-profiled case was successfully printed without any issues, resulting in a visually appealing product. I've integrated a Raspberry Pi 5, 8 GB version board into the case, and here are my observations: 1. The case provides a snug fit, requiring some force to secure the board in place. 2. The dividers between the USB ports and Ethernet port could benefit from being slightly thinner in width (approximately 0.5mm less) to facilitate easy insertion of the ports. This adjustment should also be considered for the micro HDMIs and the power port, as the tight fit has led to cracks developing at the corner near the power port. 3. Adding four legs to the bottom plate would enhance ventilation when the case is positioned on a flat surface. 4. Consider incorporating text labels such as "Reset," "USB," "HDMI 1," etc., to further enhance the case's usability and aesthetics. I appreciate your efforts in creating such a beautiful case. Thank you!

Case works well but clip on one side was a bit flimsy and snapped off when trying to close the first time. Taped it shut and it works well.

Printed again, really does seem the active cooling push pins get in the way for the bottom half. Top half fits fine though, but you need both halves

Bottom half isn't compatible with active cooling push pins or at the very least isn't deep enough to give enough clearance to insert micro SD
