I play snooker every now and again, well when I say play I mean turn up and that's about it, but on the odd occasion I have seen players with magnetic chalk holders, they are not that much to purchase but I thought why not make my own and one for a friend, the chalk we use is the standard Triangle type 23mm square, the magnets used for both the clip and chalk holder are from 1st4Magnets UK and the dimensions are 19.05mm x 19.05mm x 1.58mm the magnets are a snug fit in the slots, no glue necessary, took me a couple of prototypes to get the slots correct, there is also a lid for the chalk when not in use, this is a snug push fit but it will loosen after a while, the chalk holder has rectangular holes at the bottom on 2 sides allowing a small screw driver or something to push and ease the chalk out allowing the chalk to be changed when necessary.
Designed with Fusion 360 and printed with the BambuLab X1
I flipped the clip onto it's edge to print so the slot was facing upwards, see print preview pic.
Cool little use able project.
Thanks for looking as always.
