Description

This is updated version of my mini engine.

This one is scaled ja bit bigger. It has sturdier pistonrods, longer stroke length. It also has somekind of head gasked, head and cover.

I suggest to print it without head gasket, head and cover. Head goes really easily bonkers, i fiddled several prints with various options and in various ways, it has to be just right to get it done.

 

Everything is but together just snapping, no need for glue or anything else, it's designed to need only printing and assembling, and it could be dissassembled also.

Great idea and good size but the cylinder pins should be slightly smaller or they’re near impossible to fit in. I tried 0.15mm smaller and it fitted well, the crankshaft caps should also be redesigned as currently they don’t lock onto the crankshafts well without breaking the mechanism.

Those piston pins i made tight for purpose so them will stay on place. I could make them a bit slimmer, i’ll look in to that. Those crank ”bearings” are designed to but on right ends, they wont go on both ends. I do not have any probs with them, so i didn’t really get what you meant by breaking, sorry.

For a second there I thought you meant the engine was a V2. I was going to comment that its an inline 4 but then it dawned on me, you meant version 2 LOL! You did a great job modeling it.

printed well, some pieces didn’t fit together well bit that wasn’t hard to fix. Awesome model, loving fidgeting with it
