Description

Snoopy got a new upgrade for taking down the Red Baron. Introducing Snoopy's new doghouse (aka The Baron Buster). New features include a forward facing 30mm gatling gun, two sidewinder missiles, 80mm vtol props, and FPV style flight control system. Rotors and props do rotate manually and can also be used as a small storage box. In order to cut down on print time we did need to break up the printing into different plates and also to optimize the small prints for better results. We hope you enjoy the model, this was a really fun one to design and build.

The only issue I had was the tail on Snoopy, it seems to be missing. Any idea if I made a mistake in printing?

No that is correct, I did not include the tail because it was half in and half out of the doghouse and just did not look right. There is something else going on though with your print. Almost looks like it was too hot printing and the black spot should look like the pic attached.

I printed and had the same issue. the problem is it causes a lot if unnecessary poops. I would have just redone it with the color all white had I caught this before printing. otherwise it came out really nice

I will check the file, but the file is the exact one I printed from. I haven’t used makerworld long, but do you know if sometimes models get messed up from uploading?

I'm not very good a using the cut tool and the print looked bad in the end would you mind making a remix without the wings?

I like the file and all came out pretty great except the snoopy himself. He had a few small problems like under the helmet and under the snout. I used a heat gun to try to fix it and kind of worked. Great model. Be nice to fix the small layering under parts that the supports didn't really do the job. But overall great model.

Thanks Mike I appreciate it! I am used to printing parts, so this was my first attempt at a character on an FDM. I can see why resin printers are much better at these. I was thinking of splitting the model in half, but than there may have been an issue with the controller. The stepping on prints is what really bothers me. Unless you are using a reall small nozzle, small details on curved surfaces like this, just don’t come out well. It surprises they have not been able to come up with a software fix for stepping issues, but I guess that is just the nature of printing layers.
