Created this design after watching Adafruit's inspirering video about voronoi patterns made in meshmixer.
Went off to create my own design in Fusion360 and….Wala, anouther voronoi mushroom lamp.
A couple of friends on instagram asked me to post the design so here it is.
I used parts from the lamp base on amazon here.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R7566QX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And a color changeing remote controled LED bulb here…https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KS9QGM2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
I printed the mushroom head out with ZIRO PLA Translucent Filament Purple. point 4mm nozzle, point 2 layer hieght, 2 walls, 4 bottoms, 4 tops, zero infill and supports just around the base rim. Use a suppot blocker for everything eles.
The underside was printed out with ZIRO PLA Translucent Filament White in a simaler fashion, but I added a 14% gyroid infill otherwise I dont believe it would have printed out right.
The stem was printed with DURAMIC 3D Matte PLA Filament Skin, but I used 3 walls and 16% infill to make it sturdy as light will not have to travel through the fillament. I did have to use supports for the center hole unfortunatly.
To asemble the lamp its as simple as removeing the foam back on the lamp base. Cut the wires and remove the nut to disconect the bottom from the top of the lamp. Slide the lamp top into the top of the mushroom stem. Then add the nut back into the bottom and use a pair of plyers to tighten the nut. I through some hot glue down the hole as well to make sure the nut stays in place.
Reconect the wires and instaull the bulb. Supper simple!!
