Description

Make your kitchen herb gardening easy - ideal for busy cooks and gardening enthusiasts, this planter ensures your herbs stay hydrated and fresh, even on your busiest days. If you're an avid cook, or know someone that is - start printing now and add a touch of green to those kitchen counters!

Make various patterns and arrangements with multiple planters

Inspired by my wife's passion for cooking with fresh herbs, this planter is designed to blend seamlessly into any kitchen aesthetic. Perfect for those who appreciate both functionality and style in their cooking space.

KEY FEATURES

  • Easy Self-Watering: Built-in reservoir keeps herbs hydrated.
  • Artistic Design: Intricate floral pattern forming a love heart, adding a decorative touch.
  • Dual-Purpose Base: Use a standalone base as a stylish container for herb gardening tools.
  • Batch Printing Profiles: Optimized for quick and efficient batch printing.

The floral design allows you to play with different patterns depending on how the planter is placed.

HOW IT WORKS

The planter is designed to slowly absorb water from the reservoir (base), which you occasionally top up with water. There is a seam that acts as a guide for how far to fill. Don't fill over this line or water will be pushed out through the top!

The base acts as a reservoir of water - fill to just below the seam then place your plant on top

When you're planting your herb in the top half, it is recommended to use a wicking material at the very bottom. This helps to slowly absorb water into the soil and roots. You can place a couple of cotton balls / cotton wool in the bottom of the pot to do this. Then fill with soil, and your herb of choice.

Place cotton wool into the bottom of the pot to act as a wicking material.

PRINT SETTINGS

Use the designer profiles to ensure the base is water-tight, or you'll risk water seeping through the print! If you're looking to adjust the profile, or build your own - these are the key settings to maintain ensure there are no leaks:

  • Infill overlap: 50%
  • Walls: 3
  • Top shell layers: 5

Additional profiles have been provided to batch print, or print using a single plate and color.

Failed print, but nice design. Not sure what happen, but the inside piece fell off the printer. That caused the filament to go all over and the outside portion has some holes and failures too.

Yes, check you brim setting, i already extended mine further to be on the safe side. Was having technical issues with other prints on the A1 Mini with having too low surface area.
