Description

PTFE Perfect Curve Clip Guide

Version 1

An optimized solution to high degradation of filament tube due to small radius corners caused by interference with the cable chain. It works best when used with a https://makerworld.com/en/models/84267#profileId-90066 or any 90-degree elbow attachment.

This solution will let the filament go through the tube using the biggest radius possible without being flexed by the cable chain.

Version 2

Adjusted clip dimensions to improve grip to the chainlink. Please print with PETG, so the clip does not deform and get loose.

Hello ondrovic. I'm sorry to hear that. My tested model fits tight and does not move at all. Maybe the PLA was deformed when it was bent to be installed on the chain link.

I printed in PETG just as an FYI, tbh I haven't had much luck with even the cable clips that use the style of attachment.

Those mods are pointless. What the PTFE tube requires is natural position which is solved with the use of a glass riser. Extruders are feed from the top, not on a 45 degree angle.

Thank for you feedback @Guardian_of_nit. Would you be so kind as to measure the width of your chainlink? Mine is 9.3 mm wide. I've been trying to figure out why the clips are loose for some users. I have a suspicion that there might be different sizes of chainlinks out there.
