设计灵感

源于中国麻将牌中的一张牌，牌面的图案为中文的發字，由于“8”和“發”在粤语里谐音，因此不少香港人认为8是一个吉祥的数字。经80年代以后影视媒体的渲染，加上在普通话和绝大多数汉语方言里都有这种谐音，因此，就有了这样的相似联想。所以这个字一般和8一起被称为吉祥数，意为发财、红火的意思。

Design inspiration

It is derived from one of the Chinese mahjong tiles. The pattern on the card is the Chinese word "fa". Since "8" and "fa" are homophonic in Cantonese, many Hong Kong people think that 8 is an auspicious number. After the 1980s, the film and television media exaggerated it, and in addition to the fact that this homophony exists in Mandarin and most Chinese dialects, there is such a similar association. Therefore, this character is generally called an auspicious number together with 8, which means wealth and prosperity.
