If you have an original Prusa enclosure and want to use a Raspberry Pi 3/4 and the low-power Waveshare 5" IPS touch display with SKU: 24161 which you have mistakenly bought like Dan.
Important:
- Because the Waveshare 5" IPS display with the Pi mounted on the back is a little too tall to mount at a 45 degree angle to the enclosure, you need to raise the enclosure by 13 mm. You can do this with the double-height feet bracket, which is a remix of the original feet bracket.
- The Raspberry Pi display and touch input must be turned upside down. See attached PDF in “Files” to this model: Original Prusa Enlosure - Raspberry Pi Mount with 5" Display
Use the 12mm or 8mm mounts from the model here to attach it to the enclosure: Original Prusa Enlosure - Raspberry Pi Mount with 5" Display
You need the following parts:
- To attach the whole model onto the enclosure:
- 2x M3 x 6 mm Allen screw for V2 with 8 mm thick mounts or 2x M3 x 10 mm Allen screw for V3 with 12 mm thick mounts
- 2x M3 square nut
- To attach the mounts on the frame
- 4x M2.5 x 8 mm Allen screw
- To attach the Rapsberry Pi onto the frame
- 4x M2.5 x 8 mm Allen screw
- Waveshare 5" IPS Display (SKU: 24161)
- A Raspberry Pi 3/4
- Depending on your Pi: an angled USB adapter for the official power supply
The model is created with FreeCAD.
