The hooks are intentionally designed with minimal tolerances to minimize the wobbling that often occurs with attachments, as I find this quite bothersome. This is why I deliberately minimized the clearance. Could you tell me which Skadis board model you used these with? I'm aware that the wooden version tends to be slightly thicker than the white and black variants. In my experience, the black board appears to be the thinnest and offers the least resistance.
