Description

A set of eyes and teeth (print 2 sets of them) to turn your wall-mounted mailbox like this one** into a monster for Halloween!

Or, you can just use the eyes on anything that a magnet will stick to.

Enjoy, and Happy Halloween!

NOTE:
Please take care when handling the teeth, and make sure that they are not in a way where they can harm postal workers or anyone else who may reasonably come in contact with your mailbox! You may need to sand the tips of the teeth down a bit or otherwise remove sharp points.

**Unfortunately, I have no way of guaranteeing that the Teeth will work as-is for your particular mailbox. Even the one I linked above “looks” like the one I designed the teeth for… But I don't know that it's identical or not.

Eyes

You need to install rare earth (Neodymium) magnets into the eyes using some super glue (what I used). The slots are designed for 5x2mm disc magnets (this is what I have). You only need one per eye. Ideally, you will print these out in a lighter/high visibility/glow-in-the-dark color, then use black sharpie or paint for the pupil. If you're like me, then you printed this in black filament, used primer, then glow-in-the-dark paint (I got mine cheaper at hardware store), smudged the paint because it hadn't fully dried, then sharpied the pupils. I plan to reapply paint later to try and fix the smudge I made…

Teeth

The teeth clip on as they are. It works for the mailbox I tested with, but I can't guarantee that the clearances will be the same for you. The metal that makes up the mailbox wall is just a sheet that is bent at the top so as not to be sharp. The clips I designed into the teeth take advantage of this bend and use it to latch on, helping to hold the teeth in place until they are ready to be removed. You should also use a lighter color for this. Or spray paint it to be a lighter color. I plan to prime and paint mine with glow paint just like I did with the eyes.

Nice! You just use the eyes, or go for the whole setup?
