Description

Bambu Lab Filament Labelling System.

This product is intended for use with Bambu Labs refill filament spools.

It allows you to rewind any other brand of filament onto a Bambu reusable spool and label it accordingly.

The most popular brand labels and filament types are included, as well as blank labels so you can add your own text!

Features:

  • Simple click in place design. No glue or fixings needed.
  • Label any brand of filament and material type.
  • Indicator windows showing 800g, 600g, 400g, 200g to show you when you are running low on filament.
  • Can be printed in multiple colour combinations.
  • AMS compatible with less than 2mm total protrusion from the spool.
  • Labels slide firmly in place to avoid any risk of falling out during use or in storage.
  • A blank Label template is included for you to add your own text.
  • Pre supported. A small tab of support will come off the back plate. This is to ensure the red marker around the weight guide is printed cleanly.

Making Your Own Labels:

  • Import the blank label into your design software of choice.
  • Add any name or text you like and emboss it onto the top surface of the blank label.
  • The height of the text should be no more the 0.24mm - This allows a full 2 layers of text, on top on the blank label.
  • I suggest a letter size of 4.5mm for most brand names/filaments
  • The top and bottom labels are not the same. The text needs to be printed on both sides of 2 separate label templates. (Copy and mirror it in your 3D software and then add text to both top surfaces.)

Tip: Turn on ironing for the very top layer to give a nice glossy finish to the text.

Printing:

Designed to be printed at a 0.12mm layer height with a filament change at:

  • layer 9 for the labels
  • Layer 5 for the back-plate

The included print profile contains multiple plates with everything you need to get started. This includes colour changes and the correct print settings for a nice result.

Removal:

Gently ease up each corner of the back-plate until it pops off.

You may snap a mounting peg or 2 but these can be easily removed from the spool by poking a piece of filament though the holes

The back plate can be glued in place for a permanent fix to the spool. Good If you're constantly changing spools and don't want any risk of dislodging the back plate from being chucked around.

Thanks for looking! :)

Please post your makes for others to see and have fun labelling all those rolls of ‘unknown’ filament :P

worked well for standard Bambu spool, does not work with high temp spool.

Printed perfectly. I was surprised that there wasn't a brand label for Bambu, but made my own. Made the text too wide but will fix next time. Any chance of getting a STEP or Fusion file?

Next time I think I will use black for the lettering.

I have a question to your design... You write for the backplate is a filament change on layer 5, but when i open the file in bambu studio, there's a filament change in layer 9, so the color of the numbers will never be seen And its the first profile I use, and its no matter if I clicking on the button "open in bambu studio" or I download the file, and then open in bambu studio Can others confirm this also happens to you?

Hey! - Sorry about that, I hadn't noticed the slicing error here. The colour changes were correct on the profile with 4 plates and all parts but I'd obviously forgotten to change it when slicing/exporting the back plate only. I've edited the Back Plate only profile now so all should be well. Thanks for the feedback :)

What is the purpose of the small tab in the indicator window? It looks like it is removable, but when I pulled it (pretty hard), it broke.
