This is a domestic humidifier that never needs refilling. It takes a small stream of hot water from your kitchen faucet, distributes it across a gyroid infill water panel, and then uses a fan to blow through the water panel, evaporating humidified air for those dry winter months. The excess water drains into your sink. Keep your indoor humidity between 40% and 60% to reduce risk from respiratory viruses. It is printed in PETG to survive the hot water contact and occasional dishwasher cycles when it gets dirty, but other high temperature and water-resistant filaments can be used as well. It is really tall and it prints in two parts that fit together.
The function is similar to an Aprilaire Whole House humidifier.
My model is used on a squarish, flat-bottomed kitchen sink. If your kitchen sink is curved, the model's base may not stand up properly. Please evaluate your kitchen sink and faucet's suitability before proceeding.
I like to run the fan at 7 volts to get a good balance between humidification and noise levels.
