Description
Another creation of my teenager son: Boeing 747, modeled in Blender
Print profile is a work in progress. What should be improved:
- elevator is too thin (current workaround: scale the model to be as large as possible)
- some colleagues are losing at least one engine while removing support
NOTE: Appreciate the valuable feedback from everyone! My son has addressed the mentioned issues in the latest models now available on Makerworld, including the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 787. If you're only looking for a large passenger airliner, we recommend printing the new models instead of this Boeing 747
Nevertheless, it printed in PLA+ (Sunlu), but I had problems to remove the support.

Some colleagues already reported this potential problem, and my son created a Boeing 787 Dreamliner and an Airbus A380 with strong connections to the engines. The models are already available on makerworld.

great to watch looked like it was growing need to be careful removing the supports I pulled a engine off but glued on ok

Thanks! I told my son to make the connections to the engines stronger next time, even if dimensional accuracy is sacrificed

the support trees caused the engines to break off, and the engines did not adhere to the wings very well

The engine fell off when I took off the supports but great job other wise

Support Issue:the stupid engines kept ripping off when I would take off supports I’ve had to print almost 4 times
