UPDATE:  Added new Version “Dragon Coaster.3mf” with thicker lines and more examples of color/print combinations.

Background

I designed this based off one of my neices daughters coloring books. She had colored in a page that had this baby dragon on it and I wanted to create something similar on my 3D printer. So I decided to create this coaster which took some time as I went thru 4 prototypes just to make sure it printed ok.

Prototyping

I went thru three iterations of this design to get it to print correctly

Printing

In the attached 3MF file I have orientated the design both face up, face down, and different color combinations. Face down is so you can get a smooth finish on the top of the coaster. I happen to use those Holographic build plates that put cool effects on the prints to give it something extra. As you can see from the picture aboves middle coaster you can see some of the effect on it.

Please do not erase my painting on the coaster as I used the painting tool to thicken up the lines to get the perfect print.
