A Christmas Tree made of spiraling stars.
Merry Christmas, Thingiverse!
This is my Christmas decoration design for 2015.
Inspired by my Spiral Top design.
Printed in PLA, sliced with Cura.
Print "spiral christmas tree" and "spiral christmas tree star" with 20% infill and 0.8mm Shell thickness. (You may get some sag on the overhanging branches, but that makes this object look a little more like a tree.)
Print "spiral christmas tree garland" with 100% infill so it stays flexible but sturdy.
If you have trouble with the post, a round toothpick may work almost as well.
Insert the trunk into the bottom of the tree and the post into the top.
Bend the garland near the central circle.
Insert the tab of the garland into one of the slots on the bottom of the tree.
Arrange the garland around the outside of the tree, then twist the central circle until it looks as you like it. Place the central circle around the top post to hold it in place. (The central hole and post are both 5-sided, so it should stay in place.)
Place the star on top of the post.
No glue should be necessary if you are placing this on a table top.
