Description

I have a custom desk in my office built on an Uplift adjustable frame. This headphone holder should work on standard Uplift desks as well. I designed to fit my two needs, the Apple AirPods Max that I use for work and recreational listening and the Audio-Technica ATH-M50X I use for podcasting.

Mounting is done via two M8 x 15mm bolts (socket or button head should be OK), to the existing accessory mount holes on the desk frame. Careful not to over-torque when mounting! I did not make solid infill for these and they are plenty strong with light torque on the M8 mounting bolts.

I printed this in Sunlu Silk PLA at 0.2mm layer height and got best results on the one I did with variable layer height set to handle the organic shapes. The attached sample .gcode file shows the orientation I found best (bolting face surface down) with supports only to the baseplate. The upper retention lip does not need supports, it's at 45 degrees and prints without issue. Obviously you'll get a faster print with standard steady layer heights.

This was designed in Fusion 360 and I may revisit it at a later date to better blend in the geometry created by the loft tool. It has a bit of a sculptural look as it sits, so I was happy with it for a first attempt.

Hope you find it useful, please be sure to share your own makes of this objects and any remixes, this one's very much a v.1 design iteration that I did in about 30 minutes.
