Description

16x32 LED Matrix Frame

  • No glue*, tape or screws needed
  • Accessible USB port
  • Wall- or desk-mounted
  • Snap-fit sockets for ESP-WROOM-32, MAX4466 or MAX9814 microphone and DC Power Connector for easy installation
  • Optional socket-less version

* I suggest gluing the two front frame pieces together

Instructions

Print:

  • 2xFront SPLIT
  • 2xDiffuser SPLIT
  • 1xBackL SPLIT
  • 1xBackR SPLIT

Print the Diffuser Screens with these settings to give the screen a horizontal “scanline” texture:

  • Top/Bottom surface pattern: ALIGNED RECTILINEAR
  • Internal solid infill pattern: ALIGNED RECTILINEAR
  • Sparse infill pattern: ALIGNED RECTILINEAR
  • Infill direction: 0

If using white filament for the Diffuser Screen, printing it on a textured plate will make it scatter more light and be dimmer. Use a smooth plate for best results. A textured plate will work great for clear filament though :)

This is one of my all time favorite prints! Took my matrix to the next level! Now if I could get the darn thing to stop freezing...

Glad you like it! Check your power connection, I had a loose one and it kept freezing on me as well... actually check all the connections while you're at it! :)

yea- I tried soldering to the pins and it didn’t go like great. I plan on redoing the wiring once I get some new barrel adapters.

Is there a version that can be printed on the A1 Mini? Looks awesome by the way.

Not sure what the print size for the Mini is right now, you'll need at least 180-190mm per side... or you could cut up the whole thing yourself in BambuStudio for instance (see here: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/software/bambu-studio/cut-tool)

do you have a fusion 360 file? I’d like to try and remix it to be hexagons or triangles to change up the look.
