This creation turns the center hole of the Sunlu spool into a desiccant packets holder. It's designed specifically for the Sunlu spool, and to be used with desiccant packets, not the unpacked desiccant beads.

I use it with the 10-gram rechargeable desiccant packets from Dry & Dry that measures 2.7 inches by 2.3 inches. It has been doing a good job keeping the filaments inside the AMS dry. I only use 4 packets per spool, but it can fit more if needed. For packet size, I would say at least one side of the packet should be about 2.5 inches or less to ensure a loose fit inside the center hole of the Sunlu spool.

Another benefit is that it adds some more weight on the spool which helps to keep it from being pulled up too much when it's near empty.

It's simple to use: place the spool center hole over the base, then put desiccant packets inside the hole, then screw on the the top (see the photos). Caution: Please do not over tighten the top as doing that may create too much stress and break the pieces over time.
