Description

This is my model of the Puddle Jumper from the Stargate franchise. It has retractable engine and weapons pods. No interior though. It is little bigger, but in scale with my gates.

Here you can see a video about the project includin an assembly.

Please ignore the colour differences on the model. It needs to be painted anyway ;)

Enjoy.

I can't say much about the print profile as I have completely adapted and optimized it, but the model is awesome!

Nice work. Is that finish raw filament or did you paint? It looks sweet.

Very nice, is that glow in the dark filament or does it come from a UV lamp?

So I am printing this slowly but surely for a friend for Christmas. It is a very cool model, amazing work. I have had an issue with the pins not printing correctly. The 2 slim pins had bubbling on the top half. Not sure what went wrong. Any advice would be good.

Are you able to provide a smaller STL with just the pins so I can test re print them by themselves?

I just had that issue with that same part yesterday. Hopefully you figured it out by now but this is what I did. I cut the part into just the 4 small pins and put them on a separate plate and slowed all the speeds down by 55mms and it printed great in about 25 minutes.

Thank you, this model is pretty awesome. I made part of the engine and the torpedos glow in the dark. I love how it turned out.

Thats right, thank you for the correction. It's been a long time since I've watched the show. Printing these has made me want to rewatch them again.

This is my first impression of the XC1. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible creation @martin.taichl I particularly liked the way it is cut and the way it is assembled. Everything fits together with formidable precision and without any gaps. We can clearly feel the engineer behind it.I am absolutely a fan! Now i will paint it ;) Thanks again for sharing your work! next the rocinante, love your design A chance that one day you will design the shuttle of destiny ?
