Description

“Release Rocket” - Boost your ability to release the PTFE tubes from the A1 AMS Hub

 

The A1 AMS Hub is an awesome device for attaching four PTFE tubes. However, removing one or more of these tubes is an intergalactic nightmare! Those extremely small black rings are not only challenging to press, but painful too. The “Release Rocket” Kit is a simple tool that allows you to remove one or more of the tubes with ease and most importantly, pain free!

Kit Includes

  • Capsule (top) - Only needed when removing one or more tubes from the hub
  • Main Body (middle) - Stays in place and provides two functions: 1. Aid in properly aligning PTFE tubes as they enter the Hub. 2. Controlled press of the black release rings.
  • Booster (bottom) - Can stay in place or be installed when removing one or more PTFE tubes. Used with index and middle finger to apply booster force when depressing Capsule for PTFE tube release protocol.

How To Use

  1. Install the Main Body as seen in photos
  2. Install the Booster and the Capsule as seen in photos
  3. With your thumb on the top of the Capsule and your index and middle fingers on the Booster, squeeze and with your other hand pull out one or more PTFE tubes.
  4. That's it!

Printed great, installed fine but for me it made absolutely no difference in the easy of release of the PTFE tubes, for me it made it harder to release.

You must be using it incorrectly then. Pressing it like a syringe definitely is easier then trying to press the tiny rim of the release button.

I tried multiple different ways, even tried emulating what was in the picture only was I was able to actually get the PTFE tubes out was to disconnect the filament hub and slide your tool up and using another PTFE tool to press down.

Agreed! This is underrated! I found removing the PTFE tubes from this AMS Mini Hub to be a pain and painful! This makes it super easy to removed just one or more tubes. Thanks for the feedback.
