Description

This is a clean sheet design of build plate storage for Bambu lab P1 and X1 series build plates.
Simple construction for minimize assembly effort.
Parts geometries are optimized for easy and clean printing. No support or brim required.

Pair of HKR storage holds 5 build plates. You can add storage capacity by simply print more and stack them up.

Originally designed for X1C with DK riser https://makerworld.com/en/models/21259#profileId-19505 in mind.

Add extension legs for people who doesn't run riser on X1C. So the bottom plate in the storage clear top of the touch screen.

Hexagon shaped hole design is not only for cosmetically pleasing, also plays essential part for rigidity of the part
Strength of the component is significantly improved by having number of holes since each hole calls for wall loops for printing.
It takes longer to print but in the end, you will get well balanced strength per weight characteristics.

The only problem with this model is the amount of filament needed to print it. I've made some headway reducing that amount in a remix, but it's still half a spool for both sides.

If amount of filament used is the problem. Why did you print it? You can clearly see that before send them to printer. And still complaining about it after you modified design? LOL

I printed only the filament reduced version that's available in the remix, and I printed it because I liked the use that I would make of it. I'm not sure where this aggressive tone is coming from, but it's not very endearing.

Absolutely, by far..THE BEST build plate storage I’ve seen anywhere, and I’ve been searching for a few months! I printed with Rong Tong PLA Pro, Smoky Gray filament; purchased on Amazon, but not currently available 😭. I think this was perfect for this print. I will be watching for your tool caddies/holders to go with this piece as I’m sure they’ll be great as well. Thank you so very much for taking the time to create such a useful, beautiful piece….and then sharing with us who, at least not yet, know nothing about creating. 🙏🏼

Thats great , but not combatible with X1C with blv riser , its a little bigger than the base

It seems like you need TPU pads on the bottom of build plate storage to fit in the outline groove of the BLV riser. May need increase TPU pads by scaling Z axis in slicer. So bottom of the storage clear the riser. Hope this helps.
