Description

Spooky spider to scare your mates during Halloween! There is a version that can be mounted inside a (door) frame and one that is attached to the outside of a door frame (current version is made for a 50mm wide frame with a 10mm thick overlay, if you need something else, let me know in the comments).

The segments click into place and you can lower the spider by adding extra string segments.

Print settings

Materials: Tested in PLA and PETG

Layer height: 0.24mm (first) 0.12mm (others)

Outer walls: 3

Outer wall thickness: 0.5mm

The print profiles already have these settings included!

Cute print! It failed the first time, so I adjusted the settings and tried again. It worked the second time. My daughter thought it was really nice but wished the connection segments were shorter (more like a small chain, I guess) so she could better manipulate it to show the spider crawling into the web. (I realize the print is supposed to be a decoration, but my daughter loves spiders and saw it more as a toy.)

Glad to hear she liked it! If you look at the raw model files, you may find that there is a shorter chain link available now ;). And could you share which settings gave you issues, so I can make the necessary changes?
