My needs for a stand were as follows:

• Printability

No failures when printed on the side in my testing. Printing on its feet/base has failed every time on the A1 Mini. I have side tested this on the A1 Mini, P1P, and P1S using 0.4mm nozzles and 0.2mm layer height.

• Minimal Filament

Uses about 50g of PLA total.

• Allow charging of the phone or tablet

Multiple cable positions to suit any situation.

• Allow use of phone OR tablet

Every phone/tablet that I own fits, even in a case. It's also able to bend out the tabs with a heat gun to widen the gap for wider phones/tablets/laptop from 1997/etc. The curve-to-flat tabs allow for perfect fit on multiple sizes by using gravity to “press” down into the two points of contact.

• Must be able to be used without falling over

Phone or tablet must be able to be used on the stand to control the printer/interface one handed.

• Majority of the weight in the front

Focusing the weight distribution.

• Steep angle for near eye level placement

I like my displays to be on this almost eye level rack shelf so I can monitor all of my Bambu Lab machines.

I know, it's a lot to ask of a simple phone stand. I don't discredit all the other phone stands that I wasted filament on as their needs weren't as specific as mine. Because of the orientation this has to be printed in for optimum strength, some of the inner surfaces aren't perfectly smooth where the supports are needed. I could add some fillets to help this, but as is has been perfectly acceptable for my standards of a tool holder. I recommend printing with the “0.2mm Strength” profile in Bambu Studio as its given ideal results.
