Description

General
This Ultramax camshaft drive system was uniquely applied to NSU vehicles, mainly the NSU Max motorcycle.
From 1952 to 1963, approximately 160,000 motorcycles were made with this system.

Two rods rotate on eccentric disks. All eccentric disks are identical.
To pair 2 disks one disk is mirrored and then turned 90 degrees : Eccentric Disks Alignment.stl.
This model makes it easy to understand how it works.

Printing
I printed the model on a PRUSA Mini, PLA - 0.2 mm layer height.
Weight: 55 g.

Assembly
Have a good look at the assembled and exploded views.
You might need a small hammer or vice to push the 2 Ultramax axles through the bearings and disks.
Assembly is in alphabetical order.
Follow the instructions with the .stl-files.
A “Power Tool Adapter.stl” is added to power drive your model. Please be careful not to overdo it….
