Description

New update 12/10/2023

NO SUPPORTS NEEDED - No Support Multicolor Nozzle Sign with Size, Type and Nozzle installed Text by straight606 - MakerWorld

This is Version 2 of my nozzle installed sign. I added the nozzle steel type to this one. I printed this with Bambu Labs support filament for PLA. It is a delicate part when you are removing the support filament so take your time. I widened the model to give more strength to the sides when removing the support filament. The doors slide nice and smooth and the end caps fit nicely. I loaded the 3mf files for the Print Profiles, I printed this on my P1P since my X1C was busy with christmas prints! It Printed great! I will add STL files for the raw model files as well. For those who download those the settings are standard settings as far as the print goes. The settings are as follows-

Layer Height - 0.20mm

Wall Loops - 2

Top and Bottom Layers - 3

Infill Density - 15%

Print with Support

Support Settings

Top Z Distance - 0mm

Bottom z Distance - 0.2mm

Top Interface Layers - 2

Interface Pattern - Concentric

Top Interface Spacing - 0mm

Brim - No

If you like this Version or Version 1 give it a like and a rating! If you have any advice to make any improvements let me know! This is only my second design I have made, I'm still learning. Currently I am learning Blender so more models to come in the future!

it is a delicate process for sure. maybe try and adjust the top z gap to 0.1? I was able to remove the supports but it took a minute for sure.

i think with this is a great idea and with miltible printers running with staff is a good visual indicator. i think if you flushed the writen bits into the print then make a 45degree slot with the little doors on opposite 45degree, you could loose the supports completely. just a suggestion anyway. this would make it alot easier. the other problem i had with one print of the current design is the letter came away with the support material, at a guess a small amount of support pla might have bleed under some of the letters

Ok, by flush the written bits into the print you mean dont have them raised, make them flush with the print? Im not visualizing what you mean with the 45degree slot and the little doors on opposite 45degree. If I make the written parts flush you could stand the model on one end and just print it without support I think? I still am new to printing and definitely DO NOT know the best way to achieve strength when dealing with such small parts. I want to make it better for everyone though!

only thing I can think of to try is make the top z gap 0.1 maybe. it really is a delicate process to get the supports out. I’m not sure how to make it stronger, if you have any suggestions let me know. I was able to remove the support without any issues but I held the sides down so nothing came apart since it’s not very thick if that makes sense

It takes some work to clean up, but it's very good design.

I suggest printing with no supports as when I printed with supports, during the removal it pulled off the front lip of the track so the print ended up useles. with no supports it works wonderfully tho

@Mayhem_940 Check out the last revision of this model. I added a link to the model page to it. I revised it to have no supports after a couple people had issues removing the support filament. https://makerworld.com/en/models/88555#profileId-94799
