Update 11/28/23: Added a new version that can be used as an ornament. Just print one of the 2 Santa hats in the print profile along with a ball. Glue the ball to the end, and your Santa hat ornament or just a simple hat is ready.
My wife wanted me to print her a Jose El Cactus, but she didn’t want a sombrero given the time of the year. I designed and printed a Santa hat for him and decided to use the fuzzy skin option in Bambu Studio. I absolutely Love the way it came out. The hat was printed in 2 parts, the puff ball on the end was glued on—my way of reducing print time and filament waste with multi-color prints. Modifiers have been added to the sliced model to make sure that the mating surfaces are smooth and not fuzzy.
Can be added to the cactus using the connectors that already exist, or you can use double-sided tape to temporarily stick it on as well (see picture for example).
There is only 1 filament change from white to Magenta (apparently Inland Magenta PLA+ looks more red than magenta). The hat was designed in Fusion 360 using a simple loft that followed a centerline vs rails.
