Description

Adjustable magnet-fitting for keeping closet or cupboard doors shut.

The fitting fits in standard 5mm holes with a spacing of 27mm. (These are pre-drilled in IKEA-furniture). The fitting has an adjustment screw that can be screwed in or out, so it can be fit perfectly to the door. The model is designed to fit round magnets ø10x3mm snugly.
The magnet-holder has two versions, one with a perimeter in the first layer and bridging in the second layer, and one with a flat back. This is to accommodate different glues. The locking nut prevents movement in the adjustment screw, when the ideal reach has been set.

If the threads are too tight or too loose, you can try adjusting the thread_clearance in steps of 0,005mm.

They might need to be screwed in and out a few times in order to run easily.

This model is designed and drawn from scratch. The design file features user definable parameters for magnet size, reach/adjustability etc. (in the f3d-file).

Print Settings:

The parts in the images are printed without support from 'Dutch Filament (MCPP) Glitter Grey PLA' at 0.23mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle on a Bambu Lab X1C. Any part with threads is printed with variable layer height set to 0.25 (Quality / Speed-slider)

See the last image for suggested print orientation.

The magnet holders I printed are the version with the non-flat back. They are glued to the door with hot glue.
