Hello! In the festive spirit, I have designed an ornament shaped planter for any household plant, from succulent to flowers! It is modeled after a classic Christmas ornament, hook and everything, however it says “Happy Holidays!”, making it a perfect gift for anyone! I wanted to make a creative design for the Holiday Contest Printables held/is holding (2022) and saw everyone making ornaments for Christmas trees, but those are only usable for a few weeks each year. I thought making a planter in the shape of an ornament would be a creative way to stick to the theme and bring holiday cheer to all people, all year long!

Print Settings

I printed the model in the image at 50% scale and extremely fast to speed it up (leading to imperfections that can be fixed by slowing the print down), but settings should be the same no matter what scale (I'd reccomend around 125 - 150% scale). I would recommend no greater than a 0.2mm layer height to allow for the retention of water. Supports/Brim/Raft were not used on my print (on an anycubic vyper), but may be needed on yours, depending on your printer, but it is entirely possible to print it without any support material at all (though I would recommend using tree supports to make removal easy).

Vase mode may work but personally, I wouldn't use it.
