3D model description

I designed this puzzle for cats to make them work for treats. The treats are accessed by sliding the chocolate chips, revealing a cup where a treat is placed. The cat will need to use their paw to pull the treat out.

There is an inner cookie piece as well as an outer cookie. Place the chocolate chips on the inner cookie and slide the outer cookie over it. There is a dovetail-shaped part so the slots line up. There are bumps on the inner cookie to prevent the outer piece from going down too far. I recommend putting it on a flat surface and pushing the outer piece down so you don’t squeeze it too tight because the chips might not slide easily enough. I have the chocolate chips set as one piece and I set the slicer to stop to change colors at the layer that the chip starts at for my pieces. That way the bottom of that piece matches the cookie and the chip looks like it’s sitting on top. (See photos) If you aren’t comfortable doing a color change, you can always slice it into two pieces in your slicer and glue them together.

Print 5 chips. The inner cookie should print how it sits on the floor and the outer cookie should print upside down. The files should all be oriented in the proper direction.

To prevent sliding on the floor, I bought some little rubber cabinet stickers to use on the bottom (4 of them) like these which helps: https://amzn.to/3RYv96U

3D printing settings

I printed this on an Ender 3 V2. Your bed needs to be able to accommodate at least 217mm. No supports are needed. I printed the cookie portions with a layer height of .28mm and the chips at .16mm. I did 15% infill and 3 walls, top and bottom layers. Having a little weight to it should help with moving around.
