Description

This is an enclosure/mount I designed for the BTT PITFT50 for my HercuLien V2 printer. I use to house the screen and rasberry pi which runs Klipper and Klippersreen on my large format printer. Most of the time I just use the web interface to control the printer. But it is nice to be able to run macro's, start existing prints, pause prints, hit estop, etc at the front of the printer.

I was able to print this with no supports, but depending on your printers tuning and bridging settings you may want to add a small amount of paint on supports for trouble areas. The pi and BTT screen assembly uses one bracket on one side to bolt it in, and the other side wedges into the angled section near the network and usb ports.

Note you will need to power the pi with the 5V pins on the GPIO, or with a 90deg usb cable. The bolt hole pattern on the rear of the cover has spacing designed for 20x80 extrusion using m3 bolts and m3 tnuts. Modify as needed to fit your own designs.

I hope this model can be useful for you to remix for use on your own printer. I have included the model in Solidworks, step, fusion360, and as a pre-oriented and plated STL.

Update: I was informed my original version did not work with the BTT PITFT50 V2 due to the added outer mounting bosses on the screen. I made a version I think should work with the V2 but need confirmation that it fits correctly it is denoted as “(V2 Version)” above . Once I have confirmation that it fits (since I don't have a V2 screen) I will update the description confirming V2 compatibility.
