If your slicer allows, reduce the layer width and speed for a cleaner final result.

To ensure that the part doesn't come off the tray, I add Ø8 or Ø10 pellets 0.2 mm thick in the sharp corners, which I then cut cleanly with a scalpel.

For letters, plan a color change via a pause or filament change function, depending on your machine... I program a 1-minute pause to give me time to change the spool.
