Description

Update: Unfortunately, I've received word from the original designer that the print in place tracks are no longer available for use in my remix. However, you can still find them for purchase on Cults3d. Despite this setback, I believe that these tracks are an amazing addition to the toy tank and I encourage you to check them out. The tank itself is still available for download and will still fit the tracks if you manage to get your hands on them. So, while it's a bit of a bummer that the full package is no longer available, I hope you'll still find the tank to be a fun and exciting project.

This 3D model of a toy tank that features print-in-place tracks and is a remix of a model shared by @3dHonza in this reddit post. I can't find the original files so my best recommendation is to head over to Cults3D to download the updated version and support the original designer.

Before making this remix, I reached out to the original designer, 3dHonza or u/jankrejcir, via Reddit DM to ask for permission to make changes to their model. I am happy to say that they gave me the green light to proceed with my remix. If you love this model as much as I do, I suggest reaching out to @3dHonza directly to ask for permission to make your own remix. It's important to always respect the rights of the original designer and seek permission before making changes to their work.

This 3D model of a toy tank features print-in-place tracks, making assembly a breeze. Simply print the two files, fold the tracks as shown in the accompanying video, and glue the tank to the tracks for a completed model.

Printing settings for the tracks:
Nozzle 0.4 - 0.6 ( I use 0.6)
Layer height 0.16mm for 0.4mm nozzle or 0.2mm layer /w 0.6mm nozzle
SPEED external perimeters 10mms everything else 25mms
Infill - Optional (20%)
But you can just print it with 4 perimeters and nothing else!

Print settings for the tank:

Nozzle 0.4 - 0.6
