Hi there. Happy to help. I’m a bit confused though because it looks like you’re printing it with 4 top hinges somehow, when the default orientation only has 2. Have you rotated it at all in the slicer? Any chance you can DM me with the gcode and/or 3MF you generated?

i just rotated it after print and took a picture to which bridges where bad. I did print it the way it loaded.

Ok -- perhaps you're using another model, and not one of mine? At the least, this one isn't in my "Angled Pack" found on this page where we're commenting. I'm not sure why your hinges turned out like that but am still happy to look at your gcode/3MF if you'd like a closer look!

Hi there! You're the first person I've seen have any issues with this model. Would you mind sharing what filament, printer, and print settings you were using?

Interesting. I’d love if you could give it a retry with a second filament. How did it break, specifically? One of the hinges just fell over while printing?

Printed in clear PETG, gives it a fun “crystal” look

you should do it in clear yellow...so it looks like a real honeycomb!

had a issue, seams to be common after several failures. just can bridge correctly in the center. photo is of the bottom after I flipped it over so you can see the failure spots too center Hing.

Mmm I think I have a solution for this. I’m out of town for the weekend, but if I send another file Monday would you be willing to test a tweaked design?

@austinvojta thanks for sharing these models they are amazing. I have been printing them in different random colours and my son has been giving them away at his school to his friends. it’s been a success. I have had some failed prints where the connector/hinge failed for some reason. And I would like to repair them, so I was wondering if you could make the hinge available separately so that I can try to print it in PETG or TPU to replace the ones that failed and/or broke. The colours won’t match but hey all in the name of saving a print right! thanks again and here is a photo of some of the ones I printed. Using Comfrow tri colour filament and PETG fluorescent for the red. printed on a Flashforge creator pro 2 with 0.15mm layer and 91% percent extrusion to make sure they move very freely. And of course 100% infill for extra fun.

Hi Vin -- sure, I can share an STL for just the hinge. Drop me a DM and I'll get that your way this week!

@austinvojta thanks for the help, I have fixed my failed prints with TPU hinges. I was able to force it in without damaging the cube. TPU compresses just enough.

Prints great. Used 100% infill for weight, my son loves these. Printed one in black and the other in the OVV3D silk PLA with red/blue/green. With the silk the colors match if it is flipped one way then show different colors when flippped the other, cool effect.
