Description

Breaking Free from complacency and what he knew as home. Our hero takes his first leap into a new life. He is met with considerable resistance. Will he break free?

I used hands from tinkercad models available so I am not sure how to give attribution. Basically whipped together this idea for the contest as it made me think about swamp stuff keeping a hold on him as he makes his first and last escape attempt.

Back story.

Dateline: Tuesday, February 5th 2001

Stevid, a generally quiet and reserved member of Chomp Swamp was a little on edge. Chomp Swamp is a nice place to live other than everyone is always trying to eat everyone else. Stevid was a direct descendant of his father Stomp. Stomp grew up on the mean water ways of Chomp Swamp and earned his name by delighting in the application of downward pressure with his foot onto unsuspecting smaller aquatic residence of Chomp Swamp. Yes, Stomp from Chomp Swamp, had quite a reputation. All his life, Stomp dreamed of marrying the most beautiful creature in Chomp Swamp. Of course, I'm speaking of Romp. Now Romp also had built a reputation for herself, one that her family was not very proud of. So Stevid was generally easy going, but today was the last straw. His father and mother were both under investigation by the CSBI, (Chomp Swamp Bureau of Investigations). An entire school of fish had gone missing and the CSBI were asking a lot of difficult questions. In addition, Romp's dance hall (The Chop Swamp Stomp & Romp) had taken on some extra scrutiny as well for alleged tax evasion. The Chomp Swamp Stomp & Romp was also a well know hideout for vagrants and seahorse thieves.

Stevid wanted out! He decided to swim to the top of the world and when he got there, he jumped even higher, (almost like Chop Swamp's first space program). But Chomp Swamp was unwilling to let him go so easily. The attached 3D model, aka police sketch provided with this file, was produced from eye witness accounts. The CSBI was unable to determine if the tentacle like appendages depicted were real or just the sketch artist's attempt to convey the drama and emotion he gleaned from the eye witnesses. We've asked the sketch artist to tone down the “extra” a little with things like this, but we don't want to push him too far as he's the only one in Chomp Swamp with a writing utensil that works under water. No one is sure what happened to Stevid past this captured moment in time. But I for one wish him well. May he start a new life somewhere and hopefully earn a new name for himself, as the name Stevid is somewhat meh.
