Description

(Deutsch siehe unten)

ATTENTION: No holes for Glass-Top! EPDM-Strip 2mm high required!

When looking for a riser for the P1S with an integrated LED, I found a few nice things online, but then decided to create my own.

LED orientation downwards, Diffuser made from Layertest strips, use Lego axles as connectors.

The riser consists mainly of 8 different elements to print:

What else is needed:

16x LEGO® Technic Pin or you can use https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/lego-technic-pin

And of course the LED strip, watch out there seems to be a difference between X1 and P1:

If the LEDs in the camera are dazzling or you want a dampening effect, you need:

1x First Layer for cutting the diffuser https://makerworld.com/de/models/17107#profileId-15896

I have cut them to the width of the slot in front of the LED.

On Top (between Riser and Glas-Panel) should be a EPDM-Strip 15x2 mm like this one:

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0792H9DJX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=AG6DR6G08TPH6&psc=1

The whole thing is still in the testing phase and will be provided with updates here.I try to implement criticism and suggestions from the community in new versions. It's my first model, hope you like it and enlighten your Bambu.

It has already been successfully printed with Bambu PLA with a 0.2 mm layer height with a 0.4 nozzle. Brim 10 mm and wall lines to 4.

16x LEGO® Technic Pin https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/lego-technic-pin

https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005005952550058.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.17.48155c5fxz4Ci2&gatewayAdapt=glo2deu

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0792H9DJX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=AG6DR6G08TPH6&th=1

Sorry for the wasted material. It is important to clean the plate very well. Warm water and dish soap can help. It appears that pieces have come loose from the build bed.

I will be starting this print soon. I just recieved the LEDs Could you show a picture where the LED connector slots into on the printer ?

Buying the parts required for this print, before printing it. Got the led strip and foam strip ordered. Have you considered adding a small slide vent to the front wall or the riser to allow you to open it and vent heat out, or close it to hold temps better? Also, perhaps add connectors directly to the model (dove tails, plugs, or something similar?). Bambu Studio can now add dovetail automatically with the CUT tool, maybe upload the whole riser as one piece to allow people to cut their own as well as your current offerings?

i simply slide the glass to the back. I added a second profile with an open back too.

Is there a lip at the back that prevents the glass from sliding back by itself? Or do the foam strips keep it down well enough

Replying to @wolfakevin :
The original design has a lid that goes completely around the riser and prevents the glass top from moving. As I said, there is a second profile where the back pieces are open (without a lid). I haven’t tested but the mass of the glass and a cutout for the glass screws should be enough to keep the top at its place.

you need LEGO Connectors to join the parts. why are the measurements off? Could you provide a picture or a better description of your problem. I am willing to help so your material was not wasted. hai bisogno dei connettori LEGO per unire le parti. perchè le misurazioni sono sbagliate?

good design, but the pieces fit together far too loosely. use the connectors, but also superglue the sections together - that helped significantly.

That’s a fair point. For me the connections are „good enough“ when using original LEGO but there is always room for improvement. I might redesign in the future based on your suggestions. Thanks.

just printed with my p1s but haven't put together yet, still need to get the 2mm strip for it. I found a 2mm x 15mm Silicone strip online, would silicone be better option, or should I stick with the epdm you mentioned? Also where should I apply those strip? I am assuming the top where the glass sits on. thank you!

should be ok to use silicone. put in on top between the riser and the glass and cut out the place where the screws from the glass top are

Hi @Kellermann, you made us aware of the missing glas-top-holes. Are you planing to include those? Wanted to print your design, but I would wait if you are planing to include the holes in the near future. :) Greets & thanks, Hauser

did not include them. EPDM strip with 2mm thickness should be applied.
