Description

This automata uses pinwheels and an isometric wheel to spin the UFO and vertically move the abducting cow. I have split the parts into 3 beds based on their colour. Most use the generic settings except the cow which must have a heavy infill to gain its required weight. The assembly video is attached below, happy constructing!

I tried painting the cow in Bambu Studio, but eventually gave up and just painted the cow afterwards. Super cute.

Grey parts only

I had a lot of trouble with the saucer portions of this print. I had to print it three times and change the number of walls and top layers, and there are still defects in the skin of the saucer. I'm sure it's mostly a function of the shallow slope of the part, and maybe partly the filament I used. However, the gears and other pieces I printed with the grey were fine, and so were the green parts.

good print but had a few parts break ( the main grey shaft and one of the grey cogs) so reprinted with higher infill and solved the problem

fun! however the rod that makes the cow go up and down needs more tolerances because there is a lot of friction and the cow doesn't move easily
