Description

The box can hold up to 50 9mm rounds.

Files

The files are split into 3 folders for the common part which is used regardless of the number of colors and a seperate folder for the single color and multi color box. Please be aware that the models with two colors are slightly different to ensure that there at least two printed lines for the second color. Use the single color files if you do not want to have two colors instead of using the multi color version with just one type of filament.

Remixes

The box was designed in Tinkercad to allow everybody to adjust it to individual needs, online, without deep knowledge of 3D construction :). Feel free to change whatever you want (none-commercial) and post a picture.

Assembly

Magnets

To make the lid open and close in a way, that it stops every 5 rounds, you can add magnets of 2x3mm into the prepared holes of the box.

In combination with the wholes in the lid,

this will allow you to ‘feel’ when the next 5 rounds can be distributed to your hand.

The lid itself is hold in place with 8 additional magnets. 4 of the have to be glued to the lid

and the other 4 to the top inlay

Be careful and check the correct orientation of all magnets so that they attract each other.

I suggest to super glue the magnets and afterwards the inlay into the bottom box. This will allow everything to stay in place. I usually buy them on aliexpress in larger batchers

Example: https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-magnet-2x3mm.html

You can of course use other magnets and adapt the holes in the design. You will need 2 of them inside the bottom box, which is the reason for the larger space there. To avoid buying multiple sizes this is the easiest way:

Order

The inlays and the box are glued together. Start with the box, the bottom and the mid inlay and use super glue to keep everything in place. You can choose between 2 bottom versions, where one will allow you to stack the boxes due to the little ‘feets’ that are under the box an the other without that. Afterwards add the magnets to the box and to the lid. When the glue is dry, you can add additional glue to the top inlay and add it to the box.

Logos and Resin

The logos on the photos are covered in resin, that you can buy easily in various shops.

Example: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0829XD6FY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

The simple ones are printed with PLA and the AMS, the coat of arms was printed on a regular laser printer and glued to the inlay before the resin was applied. The design of the 3D printed logos was made by

Thanks :). I am currently workin on various designs, but had no time yet to print everything and create sufficient photos and profiles. Will do that in the future. What I can offer you right now is the design on tinkercad https://www.tinkercad.com/things/bDIVNU9Wp9Z-munitionsboxen-v5-public Feel free to export the stuff as STL and print them on your own, if you don't want to wait..
